Update: The San Jose Mercury News’ Tim Kawakami is “hearing that Woods has returned to additional therapy that may go on for months and that may preclude his return to the tour until the late stages of 2010 or longer.”

Recommendation: At this point, pretty much everything is speculation, but the more we hear, the more it seems like Woods isn’t going to be returning anytime soon. A recent Golf Digest article that claims Woods hasn’t hit a golf ball since November only adds fuel to that belief. Again, nobody - maybe not even Woods himself - knows what type of timetable he’s operating on, so take this news with a heavy grain of salt. But the chance of a Woods sighting at the Masters in April or even the U.S. Open in June seem increasingly unlikely.
