Update: Germany’s Kaymer (21-under) birdied the final hole to edge out England’s Ian Poulter (66) by one stroke for his second win at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship. Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy (67) finished third at 19-under.

Recommendation: Kaymer is steadily making this event his own with the win in 2008, runner-up last year and a win over a significant field this year. Kaymer, who hasn’t been over-effective over here, will be playing in the majors, the WGC and some other selected PGA Tour events where he qualifies as a dark horse. Poulter and McIlroy, more frequently seen in PGA Tour events, are good plays in the US.
